At Psycook, we believe in the power of food and wellness to transform lives and build healthier communities. Our mission is to foster mental well-being through the joy of cooking and intentional conversations about mental health. By bringing people together in the kitchen, we create a supportive space where individuals can share their stories, learn new skills, and nourish their minds, bodies, and souls.

Our Story

Psycook began as a community engagement program developed by Fatima Mapuke as part fulfillment of a master’s degree in Community Psychology with the Midlands State University. Initially designed to raise mental health awareness among women, it quickly expanded to include men, youth, couples, and other community stakeholders. What started as small gatherings centered around food and conversation has now grown into a holistic wellness platform, offering workshops, retreats, and cooking classes that celebrate both mental health and culinary art.
